PROTEIN joins AGENT Workshop

Event date: 7 june 2019

Corfu

We are pleased to report that CERTH in cooperation with H2020 projects PROTEIN and EasyTV held an AGENT workshop (MultimodAl siGnal sensing and analysis for assistive EnviroNments for improving qualiTy-of-life). The project was organized by CERTH i-Prognosis partners and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in cooperation with Horizon 2020 projects PROTEIN and EasyTV. The event took place on 7th of June during the PETRA conference in Corfu, Greece.

The workshop succeeded in attracting an interdisciplinary group of researchers who are involved in research related to early detection, assessment and monitoring of human health, habits and behaviour. This workshop was dedicated to novel technologies that are applied in real or virtual environments and aims to use project learnings to enhance the quality of daily living, especially for people suffering from chronic conditions and disabilities such as Parkinsons, loss of hearing, and motor impairment. The following papers were presented at the meeting:

Mavropoulos, T., Meditskos, G., Kamateri, E., Symeonidis, S., Tzimikas, D., Papageorgiou, L., … & Kompatsiaris, I. (2019, June). A smart dialogue-competent monitoring framework supporting people in rehabilitation. In Proceedings of the 12th ACM International Conference on PErvasive Technologies Related to Assistive Environments (pp. 499-508). ACM.

  • Meliones, A., & Duta, C. (2019, June). SeeSpeech: an Android application for the hearing impaired. In Proceedings of the 12th ACM International Conference on PErvasive Technologies Related to Assistive Environments (pp. 509-516). ACM.
